TBSA Adult Hockey Leagues

Fall Adult Season Starts September 7, 2008

TBSA Adult Hockey League Playing Rules

  • Team payment is due before skating the second game of the season. Teams paying before the first game of the season will receive a complimentary hour of ice to use during the season. New teams entering the league are required to pay the full team payment one week before the first game to be put on the schedule.
  • Each team must have matching numbered jerseys. Otherwise the rink will provide then and add $150 to the team payment.
  • All players must be USA Hockey registered. Proof of registration is required.
    • Membership price:  $45 (Includes individual and team registration, valid until 8/31/08)
    • Register with USA Hockey on line for a discounted rate. $38 fee includes  USA Hockey and SAHOF Dues
    • If you choose to register online, please print out a copy of your registration and hand it to Kathy Boyette at the Front Desk.
  • Rosters must be finalized by the seventh game. A limit of 20 players will be allowed per team. New players must be cleared by the Hockey Director before joining team.
  • Players must play three games during the season to be eligible for the playoffs.
  • If a team has less than 10 skaters for a game, they are allowed to substitute up to 10 with paid players from the same league (regular season only)
  • All games will be three 18 minute running time periods. The last two minutes will be stop time with a two goal difference.
  • Scorekeepers will place three minutes on the scoreboard for warm-ups. Players may not enter the ice surface until Zamboni doors are shut at which time the warm up begins.
  • All players must keep their helmets on until they leave the ice.
  • Thirty seconds will be allowed between periods.
  • Each team is allowed one minute time out per game.
  • During fights, clock does not stop unless there is an injury.
  • Zero tolerance rule indicated in USA Hockey Rule Book will be enforced at all times.
  • TBSA adult league is non-checking.
  • Players receiving a game misconduct penalty are suspended for the remainder of that game and the next game.
  • Three Strike Policy: Any major penalty, game misconduct or excessive off-ice displays will be considered a strike. Three strikes in any one season will result in suspension without refund for a minimum of the remainder of the season.
